Coronary arteries from a single coronary ostium in the right coronary sinus: a previously unreported anatomy.

چکیده
The coronary circulation originating from a single coronary ostium is rare. All possible anatomical variations were the basis of a recent classification. This case report describes a previously unreported IID(1) pattern, comprising a solitary coronary ostium in the right coronary sinus with an anatomical course of the right coronary artery. The left circumflex coronary artery arises from the proximal right coronary artery coursing behind the aorta to the left. The left anterior descending coronary artery arises from the proximal right coronary artery coursing to the left side anterior to the right ventricle.

Localized Aortic Root Dissection Secondary to Contrast Agent Injection: Feasibility of Conservative Follow-up With Echocardiography
Introduction: Iatrogenic aortocoronary dissection (ACD) is a nightmare in interventional cardiology. Although ACD is rarely reported, the real-world prevalence is suspected of being higher due to unreported cases. The right coronary artery (RCA) ostium is involved in the majority of cases, and dissections are usually limited to the aortic sinus in half of the clinical presentat...
متن کاملStentless aortic root bioprosthesis implantation and coronary artery bypass grafting in a patient with single right coronary artery.
Coronary arteries with anomalous origin from the aorta can be a risk factor during aortic root procedures. We report on the successful management of aortic root surgery in a 76-year-old man with a single coronary ostium. Preoperative computed tomography and angiography revealed an anomalous course of the left main coronary artery from the right sinus of Valsalva. A stentless aortic root biopros...
متن کاملMorphometric and topographic study of coronary ostia.
OBJECTIVE To investigate the morphometric and topographic aspects of coronary ostia, correlating them with the aortic leaflets. METHODS Fifty-one hearts with the great vessels attached were analyzed in this study. The ascending aorta was transversally sectioned 1 cm above the commissures of the aortic leaflets. The right and left coronary ostia were analyzed, as were the distances from these ...
متن کاملAnatomy of the coronary arteries in transposition of the great arteries and methods for their transfer in anatomical correction.
For the success of anatomical correction of transposition of the great arteries (TGA) it is essential to transfer the coronary ostia to the posterior vessel without undue tension, torsion, or kinking of the proximal coronary arteries or their early branches. This requires thorough understanding of the different modes of origin and early branching of the coronary arteries in TGA. Based on observ...
متن کاملSingle coronary artery; extremely rare coronary anomaly successfully treated surgically in young adult male.
Single coronary artery arising from aortic root, is a rare congenital anomaly. A 30-year-old male presented with acute myocardial infarction (MI) complaining of chest pain and raised troponin levels. Emergency angiography showed no coronary lesions but both left and right coronary arteries arising from single ostium. Patient was operated electively and perioperative findings confirmed the diagn...
